are pleased to announce the arrangements for the Tenth European Academic Conference on “Internal Audit and Corporate Governance”<\/p>\n

Over the years the Conference has been supported by the National Institutes in the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium and the European Confederation of the Institutes of Internal Auditors (ECIIA). This year ECIIA and AIIA (IIA Italy) will again be supporting the conference.<\/p>\n
The Conference<\/strong> will commence on day one with a forum to enable PhD students<\/strong> to present \u2018work in progress\u2019 to experienced academics and practitioners. We encourage students at all stages of their PhD to submit. The main conference <\/strong>will be held on the second and third day<\/strong>. In the third day<\/strong> we will also have a separate track <\/strong>developped by and for professional Internal audit professionals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The title of the conference is broad, and we welcome submissions from the full spectrum of internal auditing and corporate governance. The conference will provide a forum to present, debate and discuss current issues impacting these areas.<\/p>\n The air fares and the accomodation expences to a maximum of 300 euros will be reimbursed to all presenters in the PhD day. They can also attend the main conference free of charge.<\/p>\n We are also pleased to announce the continuation of the tradition of offering prizes for best conference papers<\/strong>. One of the prizes is offered by the ECIIA for the best paper presented at the main conference. Another prize is offfered by IIA Italy for the PhD day.<\/p>\n An abstract of no more than 500 words should be submitted as either a Microsoft Word or a rich text file (.rtf), as an e-mail attachment addressed to the academic conference chair (paolo.roffia@univr.it<\/span><\/a>).<\/p>\n Guidelines for submission<\/strong><\/p>\n For PhD students:<\/strong><\/p>\n Submitted papers should be classified according to the stage of development. These stages are:<\/p>\n For all papers:<\/strong><\/p>\n All abstracts will be blind reviewed<\/strong> as they are received, on a rolling basis, to assure you of a rapid decision to facilitate your funding and travel arrangements. The absolute deadline for receipt of submissions is 16th January 2012<\/strong>. Full versions of papers are required by no later than 19th March 2012<\/strong>.<\/p>\n We would encourage any potential author to contact either the conference chair or the PhD programme chair if they would like to discuss their ideas before submitting an abstract.<\/p>\n All refereed papers presented at the conference will be published as conference proceedings.
